AMIS0617 TiO2 85.51% Synthetic Rutile Australia
Origin of Material
The ore was sourced from Tronox’s mineral processing plant, Chandala, in Perth Australia. Synthetic rutile has a TiO2 content of 90-93 % and is mainly used in the production of TiO2 pigment (chloride process). The ilmenite undergoes a process of reduction, aeration and acid leaching at the synthetic rutile plant.
Approximate Mineral and Chemical Composition
Mineral sands are within a class of ore deposits that contain heavy minerals such as ilmenite, zircon, leucoxene, and rutile.
