Origin of Material
The Material was sourced from Mimosa Mine a shallow underground PGM and base metal mining and processing operation located on the Great Dyke of Zimbabwe.
Approximate Mineral and Chemical Composition
The mineralisation of the Mimosa platinum mine is made up of ultramafic and an overlying mafic sequence. The ultramafic sequence contains the P1 pyroxenite, which is home to the main sulphide zone (MSZ) containing PG. The mine has a well-balanced profile containing nickel, platinum and palladium at the top, middle, and base, respectively.
