AMIS0622 Cu 3.30% Co 1685ppm oxide Kinsevere DRC
Origin of Material
Material is from the Kinsevere Cu deposit located in the Central African Copper-belt. The deposit is hosted within the Mine Series rocks of the Roan Group belonging to the Katangan Supergroup.
Approximate Mineral and Chemical Composition
The Kinsevere deposit consists of a supergene oxide deposit occurring in dolomites and calcareous siltstones and shales as malachite, chrysocolla, cuprite, chalcocite, native copper and minor azurite. Hypogene mineralization occurs largely as quartz ± carbonate ± apatite veins with chalcopyrite ± bornite ± carrollite emplaced into carbonaceous shales, siltstones, and dolomites.
